Kells Archaeological & Historical Society is currently conducting surveys of Graveyards/Cemeteries within the Parish of Kells and surrounding district, which amonghst others include, St. Johns, St. Columba's, St. Colmcille`s, Balrath Demesne & Girley.

St. Johns was completed in 2010, St. Columba's in 2012, with Balrath Demense as of May 2012.

Currently we are recording headstones in St. Colmcille`s Cemetery, Navan Rd, Kells. Our next project will be Donaghpatrick Cemetery.

These recorded headstones, will hopefully fill gaps in the exsiting Civil & Parish records that are available at local and national level, and help the researcher in their quest for their family tree.
